Arrival & Dismissal

Supervision begins at 7:40am (As a result, students should NOT begin to arrive until 7:40am). Students may enter the front door and sit outside their classroom and read a book until the bell rings at 7:50am.

Students may enter the classroom at 7:50am.

School begins at 7:55am

The following applies to students arriving to school via car line, bus, day care van, bike, or walking:

Breakfast:

Students who are eating breakfast at Horn are encouraged to arrive at 7:30am. Students who are eating breakfast enter the building through the front entrance and go into the cafeteria and eat their breakfast. Breakfast is served each morning from 7:30 to 7:55am. At 7:55am breakfast ends and students go to class. There will be no breakfasts for late arrivals.

Bus students are dismissed at 2:45, 1:45 on Thursdays. They are to line up in the main hallway by the office, where they will be escorted to their appropriate busses.

Kindergarten students are dismissed at 2:45, 1:45 on Thursdays. They will remain out front until picked up by their guardian. All students who attend the Champions program will be escorted to the program after school.

First through sixth grade students will be dismissed at 2:45, 1:45 on Thursdays, and will either walk home, go to Champions, or be picked up by their parents in car line.
